Quality Assurance Program
Ability to monitor and maximize quality
Black Laboratories, L.L.C. is committed to incorporating CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) into its operations, with a strategic focus on mission, values, and objectives, and with a company standard of complete customer satisfaction on the outcome of the requested task. Emphasis is placed on data driven processes, organizational
learning, and management commitment to quality. Statistical tools such as flow charts, cause and effect diagrams, check sheets, histograms, Pareto charts, control charts, and correlation analyses are used where applicable. Our managers have had training and experience in quality assurance (QA), and are well versed in these
principles.
Professional Standards
All of our Professional Engineering Services in Virginia are under the direction of the Licensed Professional Engineer in Responsible Charge, per statutory requirement. We also maintain this policy throughout our Seaport-e Team, and the Technical Direction of Task Orders within each zone is assigned to the Principal Professional
Engineer at the regional office of our company or subcontractor.
Approach to guarantee responsiveness to and cooperation with customers
Black Laboratories, L.L.C. maintains direct communications with the customer at all times, and places a strong emphasis on promised dates for completion of work. The customer is informed of results by electronic communication. An accessible, secure and up-to-date archival database is maintained for each Task Order. Completed
tasks are described in a detailed, formal report containing all data, test results summaries, conclusions, and recommendations.
Approach to problem resolution
Black Laboratories, L.L.C. adheres to a policy of pro-active problem assessment and management. Evaluated parameters include: (a) human resource shortages, (b) equipment failure, (c) consumable materials supply, (d) government policy changes, (e) changes in costs of required items, (f) client/customer relations, and (g)
weather. Our Problem Remediation Method follows the sequence: (a) defining the problem, (b) identifying the criteria, (c) weighing the criteria, (e) generating alternatives, (f) rating each alternative on each criterion, and (g) computing the optimal decision. Black Laboratories, L.L.C. strives for complete customer satisfaction
through the use of trained professionals dedicated to the timely and effective completion of tasks. Any indication from a customer of inadequate performance is addressed first by the Lab Manager and then the Professional Engineer in Responsible Charge. Problems which are not solved through this mechanism will result in our
recommendation of an alternative vendor to complete the task, at our cost. This is especially undesirable since outsourcing of our best price effort should result in higher costs and a financial loss to our business.
